Secrets
We all have secrets, secret that we'd never tell anyone, not even your mum, not even your bestest of friends, because we're afraid about what they'd say. Sometimes i think that its a good think to have secrets and keep things to yourself, add a bit of mystery about your character. But other times its better to not keep things bottled up inside of you.
I had my secrets about how i used to harm myself and for a long long time it was my secret that i was ashamed of, it made me feel worse than i already did, even though at the time i thought it helped, but it didn't. Eventually, this secret got hard to keep as people started to notice, notice the cuts on my wrists, and so i denied it, i said it was only a scratch. because i was afraid of being judged by others around me, i didn't want to be called names and be sent to a mental home. I wasn't ready to explain to people what was causing me to do this to myself, it was just to hard.
So for a while i stopped.
I thought it was over.
But then one night, i relapsed and did it all over again, but this time it go out of control and i needed help, but i could get any so i hurt, i was in pain for days because my cuts hurt so bad, and people knew what i was doing and they started looking at me as if i was an alien. But i still wasn't ready to say why.
After a couple of years of doing this to myself it got to the stage were i did something very stupid and ended up in hospital, nearly losing my life. And that's when i had to talk about how depressed i was and that i couldn't deal with life anymore and that i hated what i looked like. Now that my secret was out i could receive help and i was able to start my life over again and now i cant even remember what happened, i'm just glad it over.
I know its hard but if your secrets are physically or mentally harming you tell someone, even if its your local doctor or nurse, because they will keep it confidential and provide help, i left mine too late and nearly lost my life because of it, and if not for the help i received you wouldn't be reading this right now. I've learnt that life is incredibly precious and that it should be treasured.
You can do this.
