Judgement
Growing up in todays society is getting increasingly hard as the standards of 'normality' are raised and those who don't fit in to the norm are picked on and judged. Even those in the norm are judge for what they do if it seems unfamiliar to those around them, meaning that creativity and individuality is caged by the social pressure of being 'normal'
For instance, I make youtube videos and i love youtube, but a lot of my friends didn't really understand this whole fascination i had with youtube and they made me feel more different and alone because they made me feel as if there was something wrong with what i was doing. I felt like they were judging me and looking upon me as if i wasn't as good as them, or that i was needy, and wanted people to like me, and i wanted attention, but in actual fact i just wanted to do something that had always made me happy but i never had the confidence to actually upload due to my insecurities cause by being judged because of my appearance.
It happens in everyday life, clothes is a big one. What you wear is supposedly an example of who you are and your financial background. So if you don't had the nicest of clothes that didn't cost £100's you are instantly judged as being poor. And if you wear designer clothes you're a rich kid. And for a long time i felt pressured to spend loads of money on clothes that were designer because i was sick of being judged and a lot of the times i would just not go out because i didn't want to be judged.
But i've realised that what other people say shouldnt shape who you are and what you want to be. You should dress how you want because YOU like the clothes and it doenst matter where they come from, aslong as YOU like them. And the things you do, do them because YOU want to do them, and they make YOU happy. it may sound a bit selfish saying that you should do things for yourself but sometimes you need to be all about YOU, because thats the only person that will be there through everything good and bad.
